Astrupsegga

Astrupsegga “The Astrup Arète” – Real mountain climbing suited for everybody!

This is mountain climbing in the mountains of the famous painter, Nikolai Astrup!

The hike starts at Kjøsnes, at the end of the majestic Kjøsnesfjorden.  If this is your first climbing trip, we will start by giving a thorough safety instruction before we start climbing. The climbing route is seven pitches (280 meters), and the hardest point is graded 4+ in the Norwegian climbing grade system. Most of the climbing is fairly easy, and this climbing trip is mostly about enjoying the nature and the spectacular scenery in Jølster. The hike back to the center of Skei is easy. We end the day with some refreshments and perhaps some climbing stories at the hotel.
